Senior Correspondent, Al Jazeera English.As a journalist based in the Middle East, I've reported from all over the region. Uprisings, politics, conflict - I've covered it all: from Yemen to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia to Syria, Lebanon to Turkey, Egypt to Afghanistan. But I'm particularly proud of my stories on human rights issues and the plight of refugees. Formerly an International Correspondent for CNN, I was based in Abu Dhabi from 2010 to 2012, and in Beirut from 2012 to 2014, I began my career at the network as a freelance reporter and producer while living in Saudi Arabia in late 2006. I then joined CNN's International Desk in late 2007 and until July 2010 worked as an assignment editor. I'm fluent in English and Arabic, love telling people's stories and constantly remind myself, "it ain't about rocking the boat, it's about walking the walk."
