Nico Fiore is Managing Director of the pension fund association inter-pension and is committed to the sustainable, efficient and transparent development of occupational pensions (second pillar) in Switzerland. His focus lies on key topics such as retirement provision, AHV (state pension), pension funds, pension institutions, regulation and governance. As a certified pension specialist (Federal Diploma) and holder of a Master of Advanced Studies in Pension Fund Management from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, he possesses in-depth expertise in occupational pensions and the Swiss social security system. He is a member of the advisory board of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts for the DAS/MAS programme in Pension Fund Management and is also active as a lecturer. In addition, Nico Fiore regularly contributes his perspectives as a speaker and author—particularly on political, regulatory and structural issues relating to retirement provision, pension funds, and the further development of the first and second pillars. His many years of experience include communication, public affairs, politics, regulation, and strategic matters within the pension industry. He advocates for innovative, practical solutions and a future-proof design of Switzerland’s retirement system.
