Claim your profileI am a journalist, editor and essayist based in State College, Pa. I'm currently managing editor of the Penn Stater magazine, an award-winning bimonthly publication of the Penn State Alumni Association. Before I took on that role, I was editor of Centered Magazine, associate editor of State College Magazine and have been a longtime freelance journalist and marketing writer for a variety of publications and corporate clients. My feature articles and essays have been published in GQ.com, The Washington Post, SUCCESS Magazine, Penn Stater, Scary Mommy, Grandparents.com, SOUTH Magazine, Nickelodeon’s NickMom and several others. My columns on parenting and women's issues have been syndicated on the Huffington Post and the BlogHer network. I've been a college lecturer, and a teacher for Ridgelines, a PA-based language arts nonprofit, for which I facilitate a poetry class for seniors in the dementia unit of an assisted living facility.
