I'm an Emmy and SOPA Award-winning journalist and multimedia producer with over seven years of experience reporting and producing news across Asia and the U.S. At CNN International, I gather, verify and produce breaking news and major stories across the Asia-Pacific region for both TV and digital platforms. I was part of the CNN team recognized with a News & Documentary Emmy Award for our coverage of the Israel-Hamas war, and I co-reported and co-wrote a SOPA Award-winning interactive feature on socially withdrawn "hikikomori" youth in South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong — a cross-border project exploring mental health, identity and generational pressure. Previously, I was based in Seoul, where I helped produce coverage of major moments on the Korean Peninsula — including U.S.-North Korea summits, inter-Korean meetings and the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics — alongside feature reporting on gender, youth culture and digital life in South Korea. I began my career at CNN's World Headquarters in Atlanta, working across editorial, programming and production technology teams. I'm a graduate of Vanderbilt University and a former Chancellor's Cholera, fluent in Korean and have professional working proficiency in Mandarin.
