Claim your profileI am a journalist with over 14 years of experience reporting from Uganda and across East Africa, with bylines in Daily Monitor, Quartz, The East African, New Frame, and the Global Investigative Journalism Network, among others. My work sits at the intersection of human rights, politics, media, and the law—uncovering stories that matter and amplifying voices that often go unheard.I hold a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, where I was awarded the Open Society Foundation Fellowship for Investigative Journalism. I also hold a BSc Honours in Journalism, and completed additional journalism training at the Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media and Communications (GSMC). I hold an LLB from Makerere University and am currently training as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda—strengthening my focus on legal rights, accountability, and media freedom.I bring a multidisciplinary approach to journalism—grounded in rigorous research, legal insight, and a deep commitment to defending and advancing press freedom across the region.
