Claim your profileI've got a lot of irons in the fire, but my big project since 2012 has been book publishing. My first book "Weather Wits and Science Snickers" won a 1st-place award at the national level (NFPW) for children's non-fiction in 2013. " I went on to write two workbooks to make it teachable supplemental science for grades 3 to 6, but it's not a textbook. It's fun and facts together. In 2014 I released my fourth book for a general adult audience, "Twister Tales: Unraveling Tornado Myths". It also takes an in-depth look at the 10 deadliest U.S. tornadoes. All of my books are available on Amazon. Besides writing books, I've been the Chief Met. at KXII since 2006. I love maps, charts, computer models, and all of the "nerdy" weather stuff and could really care less about being on camera, but it's all part of the deal. I also fancy myself a poker player, but curiously, my luck seems best when I'm watching others do it on TV! -:)
