As a Managing Editor at Enthusiast Gaming's Upcomer esports outlet, and Editor-in-Chief of their Daily Esports publication prior to that, I was with Enthusiast for four years. In that time, I gained a wealth of experience in managing a team, copy editing, writing high traffic articles, search engine optimization, social media management, hiring, onboarding and payroll.As Editor-in-Chief of Daily Esports, I managed the fledgling news outlet up from 16,000 page views in its first month to regularly over 1 million monthly clicks. I created a streamlined hiring process to find dozens of freelancers who grew with the outlet and became mainstays under the EG media umbrella or found great opportunities elsewhere.As a key part of Daily Esports' transition into Upcomer, I helped get the new outlet off the ground and reach even higher traffic thresholds, making it the fastest-growing outlet in the EG network. As Managing Editor, I continued handling payroll, copy editing and optimizing SEO across the website. Despite writing only part-time in my new role, I was Upcomer's top traffic draw for 2021 among all writers, both freelance and full-time.
