I currently produce the Podcast, Journeys of Discovery with Tom Wilmer, that is featured on NPR.ORG's Podcast Directory, NPR One, iTunes, Stitcher.com and numerous other podcast channels--The show has won prestigious Lowell Thomas Award for 2020, 2017, 2016, 2015. 2020 Lowell Thomas award-winner placed Silver with Rick Steves of PBS earning the Bronze! On-air travel segments cover the U.S. and around the world. The shows are also featured on California Central Coast NPR affiliates, KCBX, KSBX, KNBX. I have enjoyed teaching special podcast/field production technique class at St. Mary's College during the annual Jan Term, and frequently presenting as a guest lecturer at Cal Poly State University's Journalism Department. I served as a faculty member at the 2014, 2015 Cuesta College Central Coast Writers Conference, and was the recipient of the 2014 Inspiration Award BOOKS: Wine Seeker's Guide to Livermore Valley is my latest effort. Winner of a "Best Guidebook Award" from Outdoor Writers Association of California. The book is the first for the Livermore Valley Wine Region. Romancing the Coast.
