I am a retired teacher with 33 years in the classroom and the founder of the travel blog Travelwidstom. After spending over a decade teaching personal finance through a ministry at my church, I discovered a passion for helping people stretch their dollars further including on travel. I write practical travel itineraries, destination guides, and beginner friendly guides on earning and maximizing credit card points and miles. I have personally visited 25 national parks and planned numerous multi day road trips for my family and friends across the United States. My goal is simple. Help everyday people travel smarter and spend less doing it.
