A Fellow of the Institute of Highways Engineers, he is a Civil Engineer with vast experience. Trevor retired in Feb 2017 as the Kier Highway Bid and Business Development Manager, but subsequently returned to Engineering as a Consultant. Currently working as a Government Contract Bidding Consultant with Currall Lewis and Martin, he is enjoying working with such a dedicated, knowledgeable, professional and passionate team.With Kier (as EM Highway Services Ltd) for more than 9 years, he has extensive Bid Management and writing experience and over his final five years with Kier Highways and its predecessors, led five successful Highways England (formerly Highways Agency) bids (Areas 1, 13 MACs twice, Area 3 and 9 ASCs), the Area 7 Design Services Contract, and the Area 13 Maintenance and Response Contract as well as contributing significantly to LA success in London. Trevor also was seconded to DownerMouchel (Australia) in 2014 and was part of the small but successful Bid team for the Sydney RMS ITS contract, and before that the RMS Stewardship Maintenance Contract. Trevor has also led the EM Comms team as well as provided numerous successful Award submissions.He has also extensively worked in Central Government with the Highways Agency for almost eight years plus and Local Government for 22 years.At the Highways Agency Trevor led the Network Management Policy and International Research teams, and chaired the European Roads Network (ERANet) research forums as well as the Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR). He was responsible for the £25m HA Research budget and programming, and in Europe drove the EU Joint Research Agreement. He also worked with the Under Secretary of State in 2005, and has acted as PIARC Secretariat on behalf of the HA.He has vast experience in dealing with all aspects of highways design, maintenance, management, operation and financial control, inclusive of significant Parliamentary and Council member interaction. . With the Highways Agency he dealt with Local Shire Counties regarding Trunk Road maintenance and management as well as de-trunking; worked on the MA/TMC Area teams,Trevor also presents an award winning Rugby League programme on BBC Radio Manchester .
