I am a journalist with extensive experience reporting on global conflicts and foreign affairs, including international trade, politics and economics across the Middle East, Africa, Canada, America and the European Union. I have been published in major publications around the world including the Globe and Mail, Al Jazeera English, Toronto Star, National Post, Maclean's magazine and Huffington Post Canada. My work currently focuses on leading in-depth coverage of the U.S. government's economic policies, analyzing Brexit's implications for international trade and examining new tax laws in China aimed at attracting foreign investors. Previously, I chronicled the plight of Syrian refugees across Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt as they tried to access education, employment, shelter and the basic necessities of life. I have written about labour challenges within Canada’s energy industry, as well as clashes over environmental resources between Aboriginal peoples and state and federal governments.
