People deserve to feel important. Everyone has the right to feel that their needs and expectations will be handled with care. Giving that to people is what attracted me to journalism. It is what pushed me to go back to school to obtain a bachelors in business administration with a concentration in marketing. I have spent the last decade building relationships and giving people a voice where they had none before. I learned how to move people by showing a genuine interest in solving their problem. I believe marketing, at its heart, is about figuring out how to move people. Everything I have learned at East Carolina University’s College of Business has convinced me that people are most influenced by sincerity and consistency.
