Claim your profileI'm a foreign correspondent at the FT, where I cover west and central Africa. I write about foreign affairs, politics, economics, technology and business. I was an Associate Fellow of the Chatham House Leadership Academy for two years, having previously served as the 2021-22 Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellow with the Russia and Eurasia Programme at the institute. Before that, I was news editor at The Continent, the award-winning pan-African digital newsweekly designed to be read and shared on messaging apps. My work has appeared in the Guardian, Foreign Policy, Mail & Guardian, CNN, Vice, Al Jazeera and elsewhere. I was managing editor at TechCabal, reporting fellow at Rest of World. I have an MA in Journalism and Media Studies from Wits University as a Konrad Adenauer Stiftung scholar.
