I'm happy with my journalism career and love my job writing arts and entertainment feature stories in the Texarkana area. I seek additional part-time work in freelance writing and/or online teaching. * I'm organized, flexible, talented and passionate about my work. I'm a quick learner and adaptable, skills that enable me to excel in my current position as a reporter. * I've gained 10-plus years of real-world, real-time writing experience working on deadline for a daily newspaper, plus six years of academic experience at two top programs where I honed my writing skills and deepened my literary background. * I've taught comfortably both online and in the classroom, giving me versatility. My teaching experience includes both small-town, rural community college work and graduate assistant work at a state school where I taught daily while a full-time student myself. I can teach a broad range of students. * I'm a published poet with literary magazine experience.
