At Autonomous Media, I'm now editor at large, writing features and web posts across the rapidly evolving fields of autonomous vehicles and global satellite navigation systems. I also participate in strategy discussions. At Medill / Northwestern University, I direct business to business (B2B) education and administer two McAllister Fellowships. For nearly 40 years, I've worked with Northwestern students and professionals worldwide on the skills needed to create evocative and useful stories and titles, from relevant, even graceful, storytelling to understanding media effectiveness. As a "media chiropractor" in both the profession and the academy, I work with companies to align media content across various formats via an audit process that increases audience engagement and maximizes editorial efficiency. I also write on subjects from media to travel to popular culture, and serve as a writing coach based in Santa Barbara.
