I have been a full-time working journalist for about five years. Last year, I took up a role as reporter for Radio New Zealand, based in Christchurch. It follows a stint of more than three years working in print. I worked as a reporter through the Local Democracy Reporting (LDR) scheme for both the Ashburton Guardian and the North Canterbury News for a year. I was at the Guardian for two years, where I initially worked as the paper’s sports reporter. Previously I worked as a regions reporter for the Otago Daily Times, based in Alexandra, where I covered breaking/regional news and sport. I have also been a regular music feature writer and contributor for multiple publications, and radio shows for about 15 years.
