I've reported some of the major news events - from the London bombings in 2005, to the Boxing Day Tsunami live from Patong Beach, and anchored rolling coverage of the Black Saturday Bushfires. In 2013, I toured Afghanistan, reporting on the withdrawal of Australian troops, and reported from north Queensland as Cyclone Yasi made landfall. Aviation is one of my key interests - and my reporting on the industry has taken me to Seattle, Abu Dhabi, LA, Dubai, Macau, Hong Kong and London. On the eve of the GFC, I was involved in the launch of the Sky News Business Channel in 2008, and spent two years as a finance journalist. I was awarded the ASTRA for Most Outstanding Broadcast Journalist. My career began aged 18 at the “Southern Peninsula Local" newspaper on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula - learning the ropes, before joining the news team at 3AW, moving to London, and then shifting to Moscow at the age of 23 to work as an inaugural news anchor and International Correspondent for Russia Today.
