Claim your profileMultimedia journalist and anchor specializing in state government/politics. I'm currently the 4pm anchor and multimedia journalist at KOAA (NBC/Scripps) in Colorado Springs. During my time here, I've had the opportunity to dip my toes in just about everything. I work the state government beat, I enjoy enterprising and breaking stories in and out of my beat everyday. Being a multimedia journalist- I love getting to see the story from start to finish, experimenting with better ways to tell the story visually for both web and broadcast. As an anchor, I enjoy the challenge of leading the newsroom and the newscast. I love the fast paced energy of tv news and anchoring allows me to be in the thick of it. In this digital age- I'm passionate about engaging viewers and breaking news through social media in addition to our on-air product. In 2019, I was able to further my education by attending the Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) conference. This gave me tools to strengthen my ability to enterprise stories, and dig through data to make my stories even more compelling.
