His book collaboration “Sneakers'' (Harper Collins, 2018) inspired Lena Waithe to create her 2020 Quibi series, “You Ain’t Got These.” In 2019, Alex’s reporting for the Atlantic on child abuse in Hollywood shook the entertainment industry. Alex is the host of season one of Topic media’s podcast franchise, Imposters (March, 2021). His February 2021 Vanity Fair story on the crisis at Hillsong Church became the underlying IP for FX’s 2023 critically acclaimed four-part unscripted series THE SECRETS OF HILLSONG. In 2023 he also wrote and hosted LET’S START A COUP, a six-part podcast series that charted in the top 10 for iHeart Media. As an editorial and creative consultant Alex guided leadership at Fatherly.com as they transitioned from a service-oriented website about parenting to a profitable mens lifestyle site that enables dads to be their best.
