Claim your profileI am a Queen's Park correspondent covering Ontario politics for The Canadian Press. It's a job that gives me incredible access to the province's elected officials to pick their brains and hold them accountable. The stories I get to write are about policies that affect millions of people's lives and it is a real privilege. And then there are the pure politics stories, which are just plain fun. I previously spent several years as the go-to reporter for the Ontario desk, which meant I found myself in various corners of the province at the drop of a hat. I have reported on national stories from Windsor to Cornwall to Timmins and just about everywhere in between.I have covered major trials including that of Michael Rafferty and the Shafia family (so-called honour killings), provincial and federal elections and breaking news on just about every topic, from terrorism to the Ikea monkey.I file several updates a day for multiple platforms: print, radio and online video. And I tweet: @allisonjones_cp
