Andrew Holmes is a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and nationally recognized sleep and fatigue specialist with over 20 years of experience in sleep education, diagnostics, and therapeutic solutions—particularly within safety-sensitive and fatigue-critical industries. His professional background includes senior leadership roles in hospital and healthcare settings, where he led a full-service cardiopulmonary and sleep services department at one of the largest hospitals in Canada’s capital region, Ottawa. In these roles, Andrew worked closely with clinicians, administrators, and operational leaders to deliver clinically rigorous, scalable sleep health programs. Andrew is a highly sought-after expert on fatigue, sleep disorders, and impairment risk. He has consulted with and presented to organizations operating in high-performance and safety-critical environments, including professional sports organizations such as the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Ottawa Senators, as well as transportation-focused organizations including the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) and the Private Motor Trucking Council of Canada (PMTC). His presentations focus on sleep disorders, fatigue impairment, regulatory-relevant screening, sleep hygiene, and best-practice fatigue mitigation strategies. Andrew is a frequent media contributor and has appeared as a sleep subject matter expert across major Canadian outlets, including CBC’s The National, as well as multiple segments on CTV, where he has provided expert commentary on sleep health, fatigue, and public safety.
