Specialties: I have more than 27 years of experience as a professional journalist. I was a reporter for three daily newspapers -- The Monroe Times, Sheboygan Press and Northwest Herald (Crystal Lake, Ill.) -- before coming to the Small Business Times, which was later re-named BizTimes Milwaukee. I am an award-winning journalist with a collection of five awards from the Milwaukee Press Club's Excellence in Journalism contest and five national journalism awards from The Alliance of Area Business Publishers. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
