After I attained a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Iowa, my journalism career led to positions at The Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa; The Sioux City Journal in Sioux City, Iowa and several weeklies in the Midwest. I left my last newspaper job to start my own business in 2009.
