I'm the editor of Alta Journal's California Book Club. I also have 13 years of experience running a full-time writing shop where I wear many hats—as a writer, a book critic, an editor, a ghostwriter for lawyers and other professionals, a researcher, a consultant, and a novelist. Prior to that, I worked as a litigator and law clerk for over 10 years. I represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of practice areas, including intellectual property, civil rights, medical malpractice, personal injury, and construction litigation. I've also used my legal training in my work for human rights and arts and culture nonprofits and to volunteer for other social causes that I believe in. I am open to select freelance work outside my full-time job in the areas of writing, ghostwriting, and editing.
