Claim your profileBefore coming to Pittsburgh, I spent three years in Norfolk, Virginia at WTKR working as an anchor, reporter and multimedia journalist. While there, I covered many high-profile shootings and cases that drew national attention, including the 6-year-old Newport News boy accused of intentionally shooting his first-grade teacher; the Chesapeake Walmart mass shooting; and the extensive search for the 4-year-old missing Hampton boy, Codi Bigsby whose body has still not been found. Before moving south, I worked as a reporter/multimedia journalist at 13WHAM in Rochester, NY and at Spectrum News in my hometown of Buffalo, where I began my career. I covered Buffalo’s historic 2014 November snowstorm “Snowvember,” that dumped seven feet of snow in some spots, paralyzing much of the region and killing more than a dozen people. While at Spectrum News Buffalo (formerly Time Warner Cable News), I ran the Niagara Falls bureau, single-handedly reporting news across Niagara County.I also did a brief stint in politics, working as the communications director for a New York State senator. For three years, I learned the ins and outs of the legislative process, and worked on highlighting several complex and controversial issues, including gun laws, immigration issues and disparities in education, healthcare and infrastructure funding. I have a master’s degree in Communications/TV Broadcasting from the New York Institute of Technology. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English at Daemen University where I also served as a reporter and editor-in-chief for the college’s newspaper. When not working, I enjoy traveling, surfing, working out and spending time with my Yorkie Bella.
