I am a news cameraman in love with still photography. A Reuters staff video journalist for over 20 years, I covered conflict in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon. I also reported about the beginning of the Arab Spring in Tunisia and about the epic human migration to Europe across the Mediterranean sea. I often travel with Popes during their trips, including to Iraq and recently to Canada, Mongolia and the South Pacific. I also filmed the aftermath of the death of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican and of Queen Elizabeth II in London. I covered the 2004 Tsunami in Banda Aceh and the Turkey-Syria Earthquake of 2023 in the Hatay province of Turkey. In 2018, I won the Royal Television Society (RTS) Award for Camera Operator of the Year. I love still photography, which I try to integrate more and more into my moving pictures work. My photography projects have won awards (POY, LensCulture, Ippawards, All About Photo, Feature Shoot Emerging Photography, International Photography Awards, Urban Photo Awards etc...) and have been published on The Eye of Photography magazine, the Social Documentary Network, LensCulture and other international online photography publications. My photography has also been exhibited at the Head On Photo Festival and projected at Visa pour L’Image.
