Having worked for the premier newspaper in the country for a decade now, I have got a good understanding of how the sports industry functions. Started as a trainee journalist here but worked my way up to become an efficient sports journalist. The exposure has taught me to value of networking across all evey stakeholder-- be it bureaucracy, administration and markets forces besides understanding and building a good rapport with sports people. Author of The New Stars of Twenty 20 (Making of India’s cricketing tomorrow) Covered the ICC Under-19 cricket World Cup, 2016 in Bangladesh, Asia Cup 2018 and 2022 in UAE, the ICC World T20 championship, 2016 and have been regularly covering the Indian Premier League and International matches at home besides the U-17 Fifa World Cup Have written features on pertaining issues pertaining along with player interviews. Having worked on the desk, also developed a good idea about Olympic sports and football. Have grown on the desk as well. Planning pages, editing, ideation and headlines.
