Claim your profileBackground: I believe everyone has a story, and I am here to tell it. This is what drew me to the passion I have today in reporting. I bring these stories to life and let people's voices be heard. I strive for each individual to gain knowledge on the daily happenings they are impacted by. I strongly believe in reporting accurate and truthful information to the public. Career Path: I am currently a Reporter/ News Anchor at WWMT News Channel 3. I previously worked in Lansing as a Reporter for WLNS 6 News. Before 6 News I was a News Anchor and Reporter for a top 40 broadcast market, award-winning weekly PBS news program- WGVU West Side Stories TV News Show. I also previously interned with Wood TV 8 and Local Spins Website (Covering West Michigan's largest music scene). I report on real, important and hard news not only in West Michigan but also on a national level. Each and everyday I enjoy having a different story to find a unique way to cover. There are amazing findings to be discovered by knowing how to precisely ask the right questions while interviewing subjects. These findings become powerful stories that people tell for generations to come. Experience: My passion for reporting grew from my experience interning in the newsroom at Wood TV 8. I found the creative process of writing packages for television fascinating. I went out into the field, interviewed people, and gained knowledge on how to correctly approach subjects for different stories, such as investigative VS. trauma. I also wrote condensed and effective articles for their website. These skills I have taken with me and they have helped shape me into the outgoing reporter I am today. I believe every great story starts with curiosity. A compelling story is told through the creative process that starts with you. Goal: Moving forward I strive to continue telling powerful stories and impacting the lives of others by being a News Reporter, Anchor or Writer.
