Claim your profileHello! I work as a copy editor for The Forecaster, Lakes Region Weekly and American Journal newspapers. I'm responsible for communicating with writers of submitted weeklies and my work day includes proofreading articles, writing summaries and headlines, and proofing the pages going to print; I also compile the community and arts calendars, Letters to the Editor, and content for the People and Business column.I attended SNHU on campus in Manchester, NH, studying Communication and Graphic Design. I was the lead copy editor on the university's student-run newspaper, The Penmen Press, and a member of the layout team. I have skills in writing, proofreading, editing, organization, leadership, teamwork, and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. I do enjoy layout design.I worked for SNHU as a copywriting intern from January 2020 to April 2021 and I loved the experience. I have written captions for ads on SNHU's social media, email newsletters, and FAQs and other sections on program pages with SEO in mind. I worked remotely with great success.I've enjoyed volunteering at FuRRR Feline Rescue in Gonic, NH during my time at home!Throughout my freshman year at SNHU, I worked at the campus Women’s Center where I greeted and assisted visitors and facilitated events. Examples include Take Back the Night, a march to spread awareness of campus safety and sexual assault, and a screening of “Girl Rising,” a documentary about women’s access to education in developing countries. I worked with a team and learned how to build projects together.
