He is humbled to have received recognition from a number of organizations. The City of Los Angeles honored him for his work with survivors of the 1994 earthquake. The AAMFT gave him the Peter Markin Merit Award for his humanitarian efforts. He is also the recipient of the CAAADAC Joseph A. Giannantoino II Award in recognition of his contributions as an Outstanding Educator in the field of Addiction Medicine. He has been inducted into the CAADAC Hall of Fame.
