Claim your profileI have been National Art Critic for Artnet News since 2016. My first book, "9.5 Theses on Art and Class," was named one of the Art Books of the Decade by ARTnews. My second book, "Art in the After-Culture," was named a book of the year by the New York Times and the Times Literary Supplement. In 2019, a survey for Nieman Journalism Lab said that I was the fifth "most influential" art critic in the United States, the only one of the top five not writing for a legacy media publication.
