With over two decades in media and currently pursuing a master’s in science writing at Johns Hopkins, I specialize in making complex research relatable and engaging—through broadcast, podcast, and print. My work spans award-winning audio documentaries, daily health reporting, and in-depth radio and digital storytelling. I’ve interviewed leading researchers, investigated emerging public health trends, and launched a podcast, Petrie Dish, that earned a national Gracie Award for its compassionate and insightful look at science during the pandemic. In addition to journalism, I have a strong personal and professional interest in genetic genealogy and the intersection of ancestry, genomics, and chronic illness. As the founder of Birthwrite Genetic Genealogy, I help families navigate DNA discoveries and explore the genetic roots of identity and history. Whether I’m behind the mic or diving deep into datasets, my mission is to bring clarity, empathy, and curiosity to every story I tell.
