Brett Farmiloe is the Founder & CEO of Featured.com, the co-pilot for PR. He also writes about AI for various publications, including Fast Company and Inc. Featured helps experts and PR teams find media opportunities and earn coverage. More than 100,000 users leverage Featured to access and act on journalist requests, podcasts, bylined articles, speaking opportunities, award submissions, GEO, and more. In 2025, Featured acquired HARO (Help a Reporter Out) and Connectively to revive and evolve two iconic brands in media sourcing. As divisions of Featured, HARO and Connectively continue the mission of connecting journalists and experts — now with modern tools, enhanced quality, and greater reach. Previously, Brett founded and ran Markitors, a digital agency for small businesses, for 10 years before a successful acquisition in 2021. More stuff... Brett's first company, Pursue the Passion, was a career education startup that took Brett and three friends on two cross country roadtrips to interview people about how they found passion in work. One of the biggest takeaways? That people don't have a meaningful outlet to share the expertise they've accumulated in their lifetime. Other career highlights: - Helped the actor Hugh Jackman launch a charitable coffee company (acquired by Keurig) - Published Author (sold 1,000 copies...lots of them to people in Duluth, MN) - Keynote Speaker (100+ speeches from Alaska to Miami, including a TEDx) - First Mailchimp Expert west of the Mississippi - Founder of Digital Marketing company that is one of the best places to work in Arizona (Best Companies 100, Phoenix Business Journal) - Contributed articles to Forbes, SHRM, Thunderbird, Huffington Post, Mashable, TIME, NextWeb, Etc - Once was sponsored by a food company with unlimited supply of Hot Pockets. Proceeded to eat Hot Pockets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 30 days to bootstrap a startup. Never has eaten a Hot Pocket again.

Web 2.0 tools are coming back because there's a need for meaningful connection and humanity.

During the summer of 2007, four recent college grads were corporately sponsored to travel across America in an RV. Their mission? To find out what makes people passionate about their work. 16,000 miles, 38 states, 300 interviews and 10,000 photographs later, Pursue the Passion profiles the interviews and stories collected from the cross country journey.
