Hello! I’m working on a national travel feature about the revival of vintage neon signs. Long before Instagram-worthy murals, glowing signs drew travelers to roadside motels, diners, theaters and other landmarks. Today, artists and preservationists are restoring these mid-century treasures and keeping the handcrafted art form alive. I’m looking to hear from neon sign makers, restoration experts, museum professionals or preservationists who can answer a couple of the questions below.
