I’m an editor and journalist at Engineering News-Record (ENR), covering the forces shaping the U.S. construction and infrastructure industries. My reporting spans major infrastructure projects, transportation, water, energy, federal policy and funding, construction economics, private equity and M&A, emerging technology and the business of building. I follow these subjects nationally, with an emphasis on how government decisions, capital, engineering challenges and changing market conditions affect projects and the companies that design and build them. Before joining ENR, I covered the roofing and building-products industries, including manufacturing, distribution, labor, regulation, private equity and consolidation. I’m particularly interested in reporting that connects developments across traditionally separate beats—following the money, policy decisions and market forces behind major projects and explaining what they mean for the construction industry.
