Claim your profileAnchor, reporter, writer and documentarian Bryant Monteilh is a storyteller who spans all platforms (TV-Radio-Multimedia). Over his 18 year career he has done it all. Whether co-hosting business news, working the beat as a general assignment reporter, wrangling Presidential candidates as a political reporter, or delving into investigative stories, Bryant brings a valuable perspective because of his extraordinarily diverse background. A former Marine, Bryant’s enthusiasm for people makes him passionate about his work. More often than not, he is able to get the rare interview, a number of which have gone viral. He is most proud of the short documentary that he produced and directed, “A Legacy in the Valley” is based on his family’s history in Phoenix, Arizona.Bryant’s love for history and journalism has led him to interview top civil rights leaders from all over the globe. His most notable interview--and career highlight—was with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office.Securing interviews with other freedom fighters such as Andrew Young and Dr. Joseph Lowrey, Fred Shuttlesworth (to name a few) were a direct result of Bryant’s ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with his sources and contacts.Bryant earned an MFA from Governors State University and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists.
