Claim your profileMy passion is writing stories that hold powerful people and systems accountable. I'm a meticulous editor and thorough researcher. I'm insatiably curious about most subjects and am always ready to learn something new. I’m currently the deputy editor at the Arizona Mirror, part of States Newsroom, a nonprofit with outlets across the country that cover state governments. I write in depth and breaking news stories about the state legislature and state government, elections and election denialism. I covered Kari Lake’s challenge to the results of the 2022 race for Arizona governor extensively. I also edit the work of my colleagues and fill in for the editor in chief while he’s away. In my previous role at Patch.com I covered breaking news, city and county government, politics and more as a one-woman team covering Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Tucson. Prior to that I reported on education in Racine County, Wisconsin with a focus on the Racine Unified School District, the 5th-largest school district in Wisconsin.
