A team player with a passion for politics and current affairs, I enjoy fast-paced, ever-changing and challenging environments which encourage me to push myself. Having recently begun a career in journalism, I firmly believe that the press have a unique ability to give people a voice who may not otherwise have one, and are indispensable in holding power to account. I am always looking to learn new skills and consolidate existing ones, which I have honed at my time at Derbyshire Live and during my eight years as a football referee up and down the country. As well as first-class Bachelors and Masters degrees, I also have a Gold Standard NCTJ Diploma and 100wpm in shorthand and am currently undertaking my senior journalism exams through the Reach plc Certificate of Journalism.
