Cassandra Lane is author of We Are Bridges (Feminist Press, April 2021), winner of the Louise Meriwether First Book Prize. She is editor in chief of L.A. Parent magazine in Los Angeles. She previously worked as a newspaper staff writer for newspapers in Monroe and New Orleans, Louisiana before leaving to freelance and pursue the MFA at Antioch University Los Angeles. In addition to writing, she has worked as a high school teacher, college admissions advisor, senior communications writer, and as a community relations manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Her stories have appeared in the L.A.
