About

I am responsible for starting Winnipeg’s first and annual Overdose Awareness Walk I started in honour of my sister in 2018; then called Drop the Needle, Pick up the Pace. Rebranded as: A Walk for J in 2020. I returned from Thailand in March, 2020 after earning my TESOL certificate in Chiang Mai, and teaching in Ayutthaya. I also have experience as a creative professional with a background in radio, journalism, videography, and event planning.  17 years as an Educational Assistant for the Winnipeg School Division and a direct support professional for a myriad of not-for-profit mental health agencies.
