As a first-generation college graduate and a lifelong sports fan, my professional journey has evolved from local journalism to specializing in sports business. After earning my degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California, I moved to Houston to kickstart my career, covering everything from local city councils to economic development. However, it is during my time at the Houston Business Journal that my passion for the sports industry truly ignited.Now as the Money/Sports Reporter for HBJ, I focus on the intersection of business and sports, covering everything from local sports teams and stadium developments to major corporate deals and economic trends. I take pride in breaking news, like exclusive interviews with JPMorgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon and uncovering the Houston Astros’ plans for a major mixed-use development. To further deepen my expertise, I am pursuing an MBA in Sports and Entertainment Management at the University of North Texas with an expected graduation of December 2026.I'm always eager to expand my network, explore new opportunities, and contribute to the evolving world of sports business.
