I also have executive-level strategic communications experience in higher education. My book, "No Place Like Home: Lessons in Activism from LGBT Kansas" (University Press of Kansas, 2018) won the Stubbendieck Great Plains Distinguished Book Priz, and was named a Kansas Notable Book and a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award in LGBTQ Nonfiction.
