Claim your profileI have a MSc in journalism and work as the Sunday Times feature and environment/climate writer. I have been awarded feature, mental health, HIV and environmental fellowships and awards and was co-leader of ST's Covid reporting team during the pandemic. I have travelled to 60+ countries, and reported in war zones while freelancing. I have worked for international (AFP) and local news agencies and radio stations. I co-authored an adventure travel book and covered the ascent of Mount Everest by Sibusiso Vilane, living at base camp. Before 1994, I was a leader in UDF-affiliated and other social justice organisations. I rock climb with my friends and son whenever I can.
