Over the course of those three months, she covered everything from town hall meetings to local events.Claudia wrote for Recorder Community Newspapers again during the summer of 2013 before her summer classes began. That fall, she became a part of the Daily Orange Features section staff. She was assigned to cover different events in and around the Syracuse campus. One of her favorite pieces was when she was asked to interview Architecture students and staff regarding the 3-D printer that had been recently installed and how it compared to the other models the program had had in the past. At the time, 3-D printing was just starting to take-off with the introduction of affordable handheld printing pens. For her Senior year, Claudia really wanted to focus on writing about sports. She joined Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician at the beginning of the second semester and became the beat reporter for the Syracuse Women's Lacrosse and Softball teams through the end of both of their seasons. Throughout those first five months, she discovered that she was most driven by human interest stories. After graduation in May of 2015, Claudia continued writing for the blog and wrote all about the Syracuse Women's Soccer team. She worked as a staff writer for the Echoes-Sentinel starting in 2018 and was named the editor of the Chatham Courier in July 2021.Claudia marched in her ninth Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in November 2019 as a balloon handler. She enjoys skiing, hiking, swimming, dancing, reading, singing, playing the piano and strumming the guitar when she is not busy.
