Nothing beats starting your career in a boom Asian economy. In Thailand I had the privilege of being an eye witness to an economy, and society, being transformed by economic and social change. The country's transformation was matched by the momentous changes I was witnessing in my day job.The IT industry was about to be transformed by a new technology called the Internet, and it has been a constant presence in my various roles in the media sector ever since. A move into the world of financial reporting meant I was in prime position to watch the financial crisis unfold in 2008 and analyse its impact.The one constant in all of this has been adapting to change, both cultural and professional, and constant analysis of what it all means.My interest has always been in finding the right opportunity and diving in, whether it was launching a new publication, or revamping the Sydney Morning Herald's successful online business site.
