Claim your profileI am an investigative reporter at Injustice Watch in Chicago. Prior to taking that job in 2023, I covered criminal justice for the Illinois Answers Project. Before that, I was a freelance reporter and I covered Kyle Rittenhouse's trial in Kenosha, Wis. for The New York Times. I also spent more than a decade as a reporter for The Chicago Tribune, mostly doing investigative work on police, prosecutors and the courts. My work has spotlighted official ineptitude and corruption, particularly within law enforcement, and driven changes to policy and leadership in police departments and prosecutor's offices.
