Covering a national beat for Law360, based in Memphis, Tennessee. I'm skilled in investigative reporting, immigration news, narrative features and legal reporting. Former member of a team that was a finalist for an IRE award. I'm a former longtime reporter for The (Memphis) Commercial Appeal and contributed to organizations including USA TODAY, The New York Times, The Marshall Project and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, the people who brought you the Panama Papers. I was a Fulbright teaching fellow in Germany in 2001-2002 and I speak fluent German. I'm fluent in Spanish and I've been using the language on the job and in my personal life for more than 20 years.
