I write about breaking news in SEO, PPC and other digital marketing topics. I also lead the Subject Matter Expert program, comprised of 40+ (and growing) industry practitioners, experts and influencers. I am also a member of the SMX programming team.From July 2017 to January 2022, I was Executive Editor of Search Engine Journal, where I managed an internal editorial team of eight employees, as well as hundreds of industry writers and contributors. During my time at Search Engine Journal, I implemented editorial and SEO strategies that helped SEJ grow to 3.5 million monthly pageviews and 1.6 million unique monthly users. In addition to editing stories, I wrote evergreen and news content. Also, we launched 10-12 ebooks every year since 2018, resulting in thousands of sign-ups and downloads. I also hosted several episodes of The Search Engine Journal Show (formerly Search Engine Nerds) podcast. I also helped plan and launch other major projects, including The State of SEO 2021 report and our annual PPC Trends and SEO Trends series.As a ghostwriter, my articles have been published on sites including Search Engine Land, Search Engine Watch, Search Engine Journal, Moz, and Inc. I've created content for SMBs to global brands, spanning all things search and digital.Formerly Managing Editor of Momentology.com, a digital marketing-focused brand site published by SEO tool Linkdex. Implemented editorial strategies that helped grow the site to 45,000 monthly pageviews.Formerly editor of Search Engine Watch, where I helped shape editorial coverage; content strategy, creation, and marketing; writing; and coordinating, coaching, and leading large teams of professional contributors.
