Claim your profileI am an award winning journalist (with the Medical Independent) and author with a wide range of full time and freelance experience in regional, national and international press. Among others I have reported for RTE Radio’s Morning Ireland and Today with Pat Kenny, The Sunday Business Post, The Irish Times, Village Magazine, Magill, The Leinster Leader, Daily Ireland, The Journalist, Football Ramble, Irish Left Review, The Liffey Champion and The Blizzard.I am currently a journalist at The Medical Independent newspaper- where I write exclusive news stories and longer features for the fortnightly publication. I also contribute to the online presence of the newspaper through, Twitter, Hootsuite and the website www.mindo.ieMy third book ‘Confronting Shadows- An introduction to the poetry of Thomas Kinsella’ is published by New Island has just been released and is available in print and as an ebook. 'Lynch's introductory study is instructive in spot-lighting the continuing relevance of the critical modernism and class consciousness of Kinsella's poetry.' - from the 'The Sunday Times' review of the book.I have worked in the occupied Palestinian territories and in the wider Middle East including revolutionary Egypt, Lebanon, Israel and Syria . I spent a year in Cairo, reporting on the revolutionary turmoil, violence and the Egyptian elections.In 2009 I published my second book ‘A Divided Paradise: An Irishman in the Holy Land’ (New Island Books) described as “An excellent collection of memories intertwined with political analyses and history” by the Digest of Middle East Studies. I received a prestigious ‘Starred Review’ from Publishers Weekly (PW) for ‘A Divided Paradise’. A PW “starred review indicates a book of outstanding quality”.I have covered everything from sport, politics, the arts, courts and I am a former member of the press gallery in Dáil Éireann. Currently based in Dublin City Centre and I am working on both fiction and nonfiction projects
