I am a Rome-based freelance journalist and film critic covering the international film industry. I work as an International Reporter for the EU-funded press agency Cineuropa, producing daily news, interviews, reports and reviews on European cinema. My work has appeared in outlets including Variety, Screen, Documentary Magazine, New Scientist, Al Jazeera English, POV Magazine, Business Doc Europe, The New Arab, Nordisk Film & TV Fond and many others. I regularly report from major festivals and markets such as Cannes, Berlinale/EFM, Venice, Toronto, IDFA, CPH:DOX, Rotterdam, Locarno and Visions du Réel. I am also editor-in-chief of The European Animation Journal, a trade publication covering the animation sector. Alongside my journalism, I work as a film curator for the Support to EU Film Festivals initiative and serve as an external expert for European funding bodies. I have lectured internationally, served on juries at festivals including Sarajevo, Las Palmas, Palm Springs, Trieste, Annecy and Regard, and in 2024 was a programmer for the Torino Film Festival. I am a member of the European Film Academy, FIPRESCI, FEDEORA, ICS and NECS.
